Today for you

Mosquitoes diseases are the most dangerous ones, because they can be anywhere and at any moment. There are places that right now are going through this. Kids, women, men and old people keep dying because of this. And it’s sad because they didn’t have the chance to treat their condition at that moment. And that’s because Rachel Carson started everything.

The American movement started to speed when Rachel Carson published her book “Silent Spring”. Which was against the DDT, that is a potent synthetic insecticide that was really revered for his severe ability to kill malaria mosquitoes during World War II. But why was she against it? Well, because when the DDT was sprayed it could poison everything around, the lakes, the earth, the air. And when that gets poison the human race gets poison too. And when those insecticides were used, the mosquitoes started to adapt to it. They were resistant. The mosquitoes that had a genetic propensity to metabolize DDT survive the spray. And every year those survivors started to reproduce. It created new defenses against insecticides and new eating habits. And according to Raymond John St. Leger, Entomologist from the University of Maryland: “Some of them can actually recognize the silhouette of a door, and they for the person when they come in and out of the doorways.”

Rachel Carson was called a “mass murder” by Stossel’s Take. And her book was called an “Emotional and Inaccurate Outfirst”. Which means that I got through a lot, but it was worth it. Because everything that she said was true. And that’s why other scientists started doing their own research and experimentation to create a new method against malaria. And this was very interesting because they were using fungus to introduce mosquitoes to “protect” them against malaria too.

The statement: “Man is a part of nature, and his war against nature is inevitably, a war against himself.” Means that everything men do against nature will be against us. Why? Simple example. With the DDT people started getting poison, and the DDT was created to fight malaria. And that means everything came back to the creators of DDT. It ‘s simple. Protect nature, and you`ll be protecting the human race. The human behavior in this video can really be seen. We can see how humans think that Carson’s opinion was just a waste of time and that it didn’t really matter. In the present it is like that too. Some people don’t care about others’ opinions. And that’s why some think they don’t have answers, or maybe just the right answer.

This video was really good. I found it very informational. But at the same time I found it very sad. Because we could see so many children going through malaria. And it’s so hard to see, because knowing that there are so many kids dying daily it’s just really hard. I think people should care about them and help the professionals so that they can create new ways of protecting and saving people. Because that’s how it should be; today for you, tomorrow for me.
